Ramp Agents / Ground Support Agents at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

Latest Start Time: 6:00 AM

Position Overview This position is responsible for providing all necessary under-wing and ground support services as contracted by the customer, including but not limited to loading and unloading baggage, cargo handling, aircraft marshalling, and safe operation of ramp equipment in compliance with airline and airport standards.

Ramp Agent / Ground Support Agent - Job Responsibilities • Marshall aircraft during arrival and departure
• Unload passenger luggage and air cargo, bulk and/or containers/pallets, onto carts and dollies
• Unload wheelchairs and child strollers and deliver to designated locations
• Provide special handling of luggage and cargo as required
• Deliver passenger luggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor systems
• Deliver air cargo to appropriate recipients
• Drive and/or operate ground support equipment including tow tractors, belt loaders, baggage tugs, cargo dollies, lavatory/water service trucks, air stairs, and passenger vans
• Collect and load mail, live animals, wheelchairs, and child strollers onto aircraft
• Perform aircraft cleaning as needed
• Inspect ramp areas adjacent to gates and aircraft for debris and dispose of when found
• Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and airline security requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 70 pounds
• Previous ramp experience is a plus
• Valid, unexpired Driver's License
• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
• Flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Excellent safety awareness
• Ability to successfully complete Department of Aviation background screening requirements
• Authorized to work in the United States - We Use E-Verify

Physical Requirements & Work Environment • Continuous lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout shift
• Frequent work around moving aircraft and ramp equipment
• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions including heat, rain, wind, and noise
• Fast-paced airport ramp environment with strict safety procedures
