Financial Analyst
Houston, TX (onsite)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial operations, reporting, and analysis within a fast-paced accounting environment. This role is responsible for preparing and reconciling monthly payments and accruals, analyzing large data sets, supporting month-end close activities, and helping drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile monthly payments, invoices, and accruals to ensure financial accuracy.
• Analyze large data sets to support reporting, forecasting, and financial decision-making.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Research and explain variances between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
• Develop financial reports, dashboards, and operational analyses for business stakeholders.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiencies.
• Review and analyze audit requests and assist with issue resolution.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Experience working with large data sets and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Oracle, Essbase, SQL, Teradata, or similar database/reporting tools preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
