Job Description

About Vori Vori is building the modern operating system for retail — starting with the $1T+ grocery category that’s still running on pencil and paper. We exist to make independent grocers as powerful, profitable, and connected as Walmart and Amazon. Our platform unites point-of-sale, inventory, payments, shopper marketing, and AI‑powered pricing management into one seamless system that powers every aisle of the supermarket. But Vori isn’t just a software company. We’re designing a renaissance around how food moves, how communities thrive, and how local stories get told. Vori’s ethos is born from the origin stories of our customers — courageous local entrepreneurs who built markets not just to sell food, but to nourish their communities. Our goal is to build one of the most iconic brands in tech and grocery by bringing these untold narratives to life. And in doing so, create a brand that feels as inevitable as it is human. Storytelling is our strategic weapon, and video is its sharpest edge. This is Vori. About the Role We’re looking for a Founding Video Producer — a full‑stack creator who can shoot, edit, and orchestrate stories that make Vori impossible to ignore. You’ll lead the charge on video across brand, product, and social: from cinematic short films about grocers to lightning‑fast timeline takeovers that dominate launch week. You’ll work directly within our Storytelling Team, Vori’s internal creative agency, to build Vori’s visual language. You will create the tone, style, and systems that turn raw footage into cultural gravity. This is a rare chance to shape the identity of a generational company from the inside and at the ground floor. Our aesthetic north star: Chef’s Table soul. Christopher Nolan scale. What You’ll Do Build the Visual Universe: Concept, shoot, and edit stories that bring Vori’s mission to life — from customer stories to team profiles to launch films, paid social, and product walkthroughs. Own the Cut: Lead with taste and precision. Turn around beautiful, high‑performing videos at startup speed — cinematic when needed, scrappy when required. Scale Storytelling: Develop repeatable frameworks, templates, and style systems that make great video easier to produce for the entire company. Ship with Velocity: Work like a skunkworks studio — shooting and editing daily, getting in reps, learning fast, and raising the creative bar with each launch. Bridge Art + Distribution: Partner with marketing to translate story into performance. Make videos that feel brand‑first but drive measurable business outcomes. Push the boundaries of the Medium: Experiment relentlessly, prototype new formats, test platform algorithms, and define Vori’s AI‑generated video strategy in a way that expands creative capacity without sacrificing craft. Build the Machine: Hire and mentor future producers, editors, and storytellers as Vori’s brand studio scales. What You’ll Need 5–8+ years of experience in video production, editing, or creative direction — ideally across both brand and performance contexts. Thrives in an intense startup environment: innate biases toward action, velocity, clarity, agility, iteration, and excellence. Mastery of Adobe Premiere/Final Cut Pro, and After Effects; strong proficiency with Figma, Descript, Runway, or similar. Deep portfolio of commercial, short‑form, and documentary‑style work — ideally including product and brand storytelling. Proven ability to manage end‑to‑end shoots (planning, filming, editing, color, sound). Strong sense of narrative structure, pacing, and emotional arc. Comfort working cross‑functionally with marketers, designers, and execs — from concept to final export. Experience building or leading internal media systems (templates, pipelines, style guides). Bonus: proficiency using new AI creative tools. What Sets You Apart You’re a Builder: You thrive in ambiguity, prototype fast, and make ideas real with limited resources. You’re a Taste Athlete: You have the eye and rhythm of a filmmaker, but the speed and curiosity of an entrepreneur. You Think Like a Marketer: You know what converts, what resonates, and why — and you measure creative not just by beauty, but also by ROI. You Love Reps: You believe in daily iteration. Compounding craft, learning fast, and making the brand stronger with every frame. You See Meaning in Motion: You’re here to weaponize story, capturing the emotion and ambition behind the industrial‑scale movement Vori is building with our grocers. Join Us If you want to define the visual language of a company that’s reimagining the grocery industry — and make work that moves culture, not just metrics — this is your shot. Vori is headquartered in the Bay Area and backed by world‑class investors. We’re assembling a founding storytelling team built for speed, taste, and impact. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vori, Inc
