Bookkeeper

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Position Overview

A growing business is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to take full ownership of daily accounting and payroll operations. This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process payroll in a timely and compliant manner
• Track and manage payments related to events, purchases, and business activities
• Maintain and reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare and post journal entries ; assist with month-end close
• Ensure accurate and organized financial records within QuickBooks
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting efforts
• Coordinate with external tax professionals or CPAs as needed
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and general ledger accuracy

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Bookkeeper or similar accounting role
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, receivable, payroll , and general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Comfortable working independently as the primary accounting contact
• Experience handling accounting in a small business or dynamic environment preferred
