About the Role:
Join Kidtastic Kids Preschool as a 1 : 1 Aide Paraprofessional providing individualised support to a student with special needs in a classroom setting. This role supports the students academic, behavioural, social, and daily living needs while promoting independence and inclusion. The aide works under the direction of the classroom teacher and related service providers and follows the students Individualised Education Plan (IEP).and make a meaningful impact on children's lives! In this rewarding role, you will provide personalised support to students, fostering their growth and learning in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized assistance to students with special needs in a classroom setting.
• Facilitate learning by implementing tailored educational strategies and activities outlined in the students IEP and/or behaviour plan
• Support students in developing social skills and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents and educators.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care as needed.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
• Communicate observations and concerns to the classroom teacher and supervisory staff
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience in education or special education preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and families.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Previous experience working with children with disabilities is a plus.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is desirable.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and training as required.
• Must meet all state and program background clearance requirements
• Flexible schedule and availability to work during school hours.
